DAYAK SWORD WTH SHEATH ON CUSTOM MOUNT

This is an exceptional Dayak headhunter's sword and sheath.  The hilt is beautifically carved out of bone representing a hornbill.  The hornbill and the aso are the two important aspects that signify the Dayak world. The upper section of the shealth also displays quality carving with its wooden Dayak symbols.. The lower section of the sheath displays professional bead work with more Dayak symbols.  The symbols are very significant in the culture. Other materials inlcude hair, cotton cloth, rattan, and copper wire. The metal sword itself also has engraved symbolic designs and sillver inlays all topped by the sword's fantastic hilt.

It comes with a professional custom made museum mount.
