Two South African tobacco artifacts: Snuff and Pipe, late 19th c.
TAD Tribal Art
Left: Late 19th century Snuff container from the Tsonga people. I've only seen one other of this rare type-in London in the 1980s. It relates to bulbous snuff containers connected by a carved wooden chain, by the Tsonga people, living in the NW Transvaal. $900 5" length
Right: Late 19th century Pipe with two mirrors, probably Cape Nguni people. An unusual form-I have not seen another of this type. $900 3"h x 2.5" w
Both pieces come with display bases
$900.00
