Panel or lid from the top of an ancestral shrine, with protective dragon (Aso) spirit, carved in deep relief, and face of a guardian spirit at the top.  Additional figures are carved in lwo relief along the sides and bottom.

Two sets of images are shown, wtih two different types of lighting to bring out different details.

Hardwood.  19th to early 20th century.

Not mounted, but a mount could be provided.
