Antique Guatemalan Carved Statue of Hermano Pedro

A wonderfully expressive carving of Hermano Pedro, Brother Peter of San Jose Betancurt. He is deeply loved still in Guatemala. We obtained this in Chichicastenango, Guatemala. It's 50 years old at least. You can see in the photos there is damage to the fingers, and the head is meant to be able to come out, and allows for different expressions.

Some areas with loss of paint, and damage to the fingers. This statue was with one family for 50 years.
