Carved Wood and Painted Retablo of San Isidro Labrador

Beautifully carved and painted retablo of San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers.  It was obtained at the El Potrero Trading Shop in Chimayo, New Mexico, in 1996.  The piece is signed Nabor 96.   It reflects the local landscape of Chimayo, with the hill of the 3 crosses just outside the village.
