  A Saltillo Sarape woven in the Classic Period....ca: 1775-1820 exhibiting a 4 way diagonal field using multi-colored lines of hourglass shaped icons, overlaid with a multi-colored complex concentric diamond center, and framed with a multi colored diagonal repeat border.  All natural, vegetal, and insect dyed yarns.  Cochineal and indigo colors are apparent.  Single ply handspun weft over 2 ply handspun cotton warp.
