This tall Pre-Columbian seated Colima Musician wears a unique helmet-like headdress with its triple crest, which is usually associated with Colima ceremonial dancers. Holding a flute-like object in his left hand, and a rattle in the other, ear spools are incised on either side of the head, seven deeply carved grooves surround the mid-section, and a face is etched between the legs. A truly enigmatic figure!

Condition
Some pitting occurs on the surface of the upper chest area, but is otherwise in excellent condition.
