Anthropos Gallery
Ronald Normandeau, after some years of gallery ownership in Westwood Village, established the Anthropos Gallery of Beverly Hills, California in October, 1976. Located at Wilshire and Camden, the gallery specialized in Ancient and Tribal sculpture from the Old as well as the New World: Ancient Egyptian Art & Antiquities, Pre-Columbian Art, and North American Indian and Eskimo Art. During the past three decades, we have focused on the art of the western coastal regions of North America: the sculpture of ancient Mexico, the antique art of the Pacific Northwest Coast Native American, the art of the early California cultures, and the related Art of the Native American Southwest. Among other major collections, we have represented and sold the exceptional portion of the Proctor Stafford Collection which is not in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. As a member of the the Antique Tribal Art Dealers Association, based in Santa Fe, and Los Angeles Tribal, as well as a former Associate of Sothebys.com, Anthropos is committed to connoisseurship, scholarship, and the highest ethical standards. We guarantee authenticity on all sales. We make accurate and prompt appraisals for public institutions as well as private collections. We will travel worldwide to purchase entire collections or a single object. We are always seeking quality works of art.
Most objects purchased here receive complimentary shipping within the continental United States. Oversized pieces will only pay 50% of the shipping charge. EUR buyers will also receive a 50% consideration on shipping. Thank you for your interest in our fine and unique offerings.
