This ceremonial Colima standing figure, Comala Style, is depicted in the act of throwing with his right hand, his head facing left, complex horn-like headdress, which is iconic of Colima shamanic symbolism. The plume-like regalia on his back is indicative of a ritual dancer. He appears to wear a form of barrel armor which has bands of darker red slip against a lighter red. Protoclassic Period, 100 B.C. to A.D. 250. An action figure... a jack of all artistic, athletic, and spiritual actions.
