Ceremonial Headdress
Erik Farrow
A rare Bamileke Grasslands buffalo or bush cow mask retaining the original skin covering. The light wood has some loss and bug damage on one side, with the ear and tip of one horn missing. The piece is quite stable and bug free now with a good dark patina from age and use. Even with the damage it is a strong piece with the flaring nostrils and large toothy mouth.
