Rongmei Naga - mid-20th century - slightly worn, five panel, heavy hand loomed cotton Rongmei man's body cloth, or in these dimensions, a woman's skirt possibly, with status additions of embroidered black triangular "birds" in groups of three and six on the large off-white center, and two wearable but different sides, one side with fine width borders and the other with red piping between the burds and fringe - the dark reddish-pink border is common to Kabui, Rongmei, Zeliang and Liangmei cloths, all commonly lumped under the overarching Zeliangrong or Zemi name in Southwestern Nagaland - excellent condition, with a faded, stained or dirt block at one end - 55" x 32" - worn and collected in Nagaland
