













Three Burmese amber Buddhas
Under the Bo gallery
Three Buddhas carved out from a single piece of burmite (amber found in the moutains of Northern Burma). One has been gilded. They are in Mandalay style of Northern Burma, and where made during the Kaunbaung dynasty, 19th century.
At left: 94 mm high, 72 grams. Middle: 106 mm high, 87 grams. Right: 60 mm high, 33 grams.
