ANTIQUE MIZO AMBER NECKLACE

Burmese fossilized amber, known as Burmite, found in northern Burma as long as 2000 years ago, traded to and worn by women from the Chin tribe women of Myanmar and the now Mizoram (previously Assam) state of Northeast India, as a necklace of cylindrical beads separated by old, thick tin discs, with old glass trade beads at the ends. The beads are 25" in length; the weight is 140 grams total.
