Fragment of an aloalo. Atypical large penis. Relates to the rebirth into world of the ancestors when paired with a female figure. Used as part of a ceremony of an importnat deceased person. Probably 19th century. The aged and fragmented figure with the essential elements remaining provides a very special and unique presentation of Malagasy art for a special collector with exquisite taste.
