This is a 22.5" x 12" Original and Vintage charcoal drawing on paper by the very important draftsman and painter Thomas Eakins, 1844-1916. The image is a of a hunter with a rifle that is a study of one of the hunters in the painting at the Metropolitan Museum in New York called 'Pushing for Rail' (photo). Executed in 1874 the drawing is signed with initials at lower right. Fine condition with age toning to the reverse not effecting the front.
