Bartholomeus Assteyn 'Still Life' - Less 20%

This is a 14" x 17.5" Original and Vintage oil on wood panel by the by the important Dutch Golden Age painter Bartholemeus Assteyn, 1607-1667.  Assteyn was born the year after Rembrandt and died the year after. This still life has been authenticated by the recognized expert, Dr. Fred Meijer, who found the first auction record at Phillips in London in 1989, and again in 2010 in Brussels. Neither auction had the painting authenticated. The image is of fruit on aplatter and tabletop, and a rummer in the background. Signed at lower left and dated 1644. Fine condition on an oak panel. Framed.
