early - mid 1900's - classic rough-hewed panel from a Konyak tribe morung, a meeting place located on each level of the village, usually about three climbing up the hillside - figure on left with old broken right leg and arm – good patina throughout figures’ nicely defined faces and limbs, with carved high status mithun (wild ox) heads in base – 25 ½” high, 18 ½” wide at base, figures 6 ½” wide across at knees, 9 “ deep at base, 12.122 kg
