Konyak Naga - early - mid-20th century - more unusual warrior's cane cuffs than others that are inset completely with cowry shells, this pair having only cowry shell borders which are attached with cotton thread to the underlying cane - Job's tears were used ornamentally on textiles, jewelry and warrior's costume pieces as well as being an edible foodstuff - 4 1/2" x 3 1/2"
